How do I manage my library account?

To manage your account, login to the Minuteman Library Network (MLN) site. Once logged in, you will be able to see items currently checked out, due dates, holds etc.

How do I get a library card in person?

To get a library card simply come to one of our locations and present the staff member with photo identification and an item of mail that verifies your address. From there, answer a few simple questions and be on your way.

What do I do if my library card is expired or expiring soon?

When you get the message at Your Account that your card has “expired”, you can renew your card by coming in and speaking with the staff at the Circulation Desk or, by calling the library. We’ll double check that we still have all your most up-to-date information and then you’ll be all set to go!

How long can I keep library material?

All items can be checked out for 3 weeks, if there are no holds on the item you have the option to renew up to 2 times.

What if the Dedham Public Library does not have the item I am looking for?

Patrons can request interlibrary loan materials via the Minuteman Catalog, the Commonwealth Catalog or by contacting the Dedham Library directly.

What if I lost my library card?

We can help you with that! Please reach out to us or come in and talk to circulation staff and we’ll help you replace it.

Can I get a library card online?

To get a library card online visit the Minuteman Library Network (MLN) site. Fill out the form and follow the directions provided. Please do not use this form if you need to renew or replace an existing library card. 

Do you have a fax machine?

We no longer provide in-house faxing; there are a number of free, online fax resources. To assist in online faxing, we do have a scanner on site for public use.

Does the Library have a notary on staff?
